A Diverse Fleet
We listen to wildfire management agency needs, then adapt our fleet, providing solutions for effective response. By working closely with wildfire management agencies, we help them select the best assets for their region’s geography and their existing fleet.

Air Attack Aircraft
Lead planes, also known as birddogs, fly over a wildfire to provide continuous surveillance, with a government agency Air Attack Officer onboard assigning aircraft response by selecting coverage levels, showing airtankers drop locations, and communicating with all aircraft plus ground personnel for safe operations.

TBM 960 Air Attack
The newest Air Attack platform in the world, converted by Conair, with a service ceiling of 31,000 feet - fast, highly maneuverable, offering advanced avionics and safety features including a HomeSafe™ autoland feature.

Cessna Caravan C208
Best suited to accompany smaller airtankers and amphibious aircraft, the Cessna Caravan 208B offers excellent visibility, a large cargo capacity, and slow speed capability.

Turbo Commander TC690
This proven legacy platform offers exceptional visibility through large windows, a large tail, and a high wing for excellent climbing ability and a low stall speed.
Amphibious Water Scoopers
Purpose-made aerial firefighting aircraft that skim water sources to load water before dropping it directly on nearby wildfires to cool flames.

CL415
Offering one of the largest privately owned fleets in the world, operated by subsidiary Aero-Flite Inc. in the US, the CL415 delivers large amounts of water to a wildfire in a short period of time, typically operating in groups of 2.

AT802 Fire Boss
Excellent maneuverability in mountainous terrain, modified by Conair for improved performance, capable of scooping off smaller water sources, the SEAT (Single Engine Air Tanker) AT802 Fire Boss typically operates in groups of 4 or 6.
Land-Based Airtankers
Converted from commercial aircraft for wildfire response, fixed-wing land-based airtankers reload at nearby airfields, typically dropping retardant to slow fire combustion.

AT802
With excellent maneuverability in mountainous terrain and the ability to operate from shorter runways, the SEAT (Single Engine Air Tanker) AT802 typically operates in groups of 2 or more for wildfire response.

Dash 8-400AT
The newest airtanker in production at Conair, the Dash 8-400AT, started operations in 2020 with more than 20 now operating around the world, flying as fast a jet to wildfires while delivering more than double the payload for fuel burned by airtankers of similar size, refilling in 7 minutes from 5,000’ tanker bases located closer to where wildfires occur.

Dash 8-400MRE Multi Role
The most versatile all-hazard emergency response aircraft. Produced by Conair, the Dash 8-400MRE entered service in 2005, with eight in service in France. Ideal for wildfire response, evacuating citizens, transporting crews, shipping cargo, and medevacing critically ill patients.

RJ85
Converted by Conair and put into operation in 2013, the RJ85 is the newer model of the BAE-146. It offers improved engines to enable a 3-hour mission duration (plus reserves) while delivering drop coverage levels to Interagency Board standards.
