The Lockheed L-188C was originally developed as a “turbine engined” airliner. It paved the way for many of todays’ jet airplanes. The L-188C is a four engine heavy airtanker capable of carrying large loads of retardant at high speed to a fire. The aircraft is surprisingly maneuverable for its size and is very capable in any terrain type.
“Conair carefully selects the aircraft that make up its fleet to provide customers with a full range of aerial firefighting services. Each of our aircraft has been specifically designed to conduct aerial attacks against forest fires under extreme conditions.”
